A good night's sleep is vital to everyone's health and well being. Yest one out of three Americans have a sleep disorder which makes sleeping and waking hours miserable. Many people suffer needlessly because they are unaware that they can get help for their problem. Once diagnosed, most sleep disorders can be effectively treated.

Take this simple test which is designed to alert you to any problems with your sleep. After you finish, look through the brief descriptions of the most common sleep disorders. If you have reoccuring symptoms, seek help from a qualified physician.

Questions 1-4 show symptoms of Insomnia, a persistant inability too fall asleep or stay asleep.

Questions 5-7 show symptoms of Sleep Apnea, a potentially lifethreatening disorder which causes you to stop breathing properly during sleep - often several hundred times per night. It is associated with snoring, which is indicative of obscured breathing.

Questions 8-12 show symptoms of Narcolepsy, a chronic disorder characterized by uncontrollable sleep attacks during the day.

Questions 13-15 show symptoms of Gastroesophageal Reflux, a disorder caused when acid from the stomach "backs up" into the esophagus during the night.

Questions 16-18 show symptoms of Periodic Limb Movement Disorder and Restless Leggs Syndrome, disorders characterized by pain or crawling sensations in the leg(s) while awake and twitches during sleep.
